The verses of Rachel Eliza Griffiths and Cristina Rivera Garza embody the Americas, literally and figuratively; their artistry gives shape to what defines us, and helps us reflect on who we are. Working in a variety of genres across boundless territories, they move between fiction and nonfiction, creation and translation, academic writing and the visual arts. A conversation (in English) between two of our most celebrated contemporary poets, Griffiths (Seeing the Body) and Rivera Garza (Me llamo cuerpo que no está), about incorporating the elements that shape the New World and a poet’s search for meaning and expression based on their latest works about the body.
